    ITIN for my mother
    I am a resident alien since March 06, 2006. My mother visited me in March 2007 and left for India in Feb 2008. She is in India presently. Is it possible that I can claim her as a dependent for my tax return for 2007. Can the passport copy be notarized in US embassy Mumbai? Please guide

    Tax is important issue and might effect your situation in the future when you apply for naturalization. You should not make any mistake. The best option is to consult tax lawyer before filing.
