    Rules for guradianship
A year ago my husband and I were taking care of my in law who was terinally il and my brother in law who she had guardianship over. Mother in law resently passed away. What are the rules for filing for any home care fees or funeral expenses that was provided. How do we claim as new guardian? ( As a dependent?)

You can claim you in law as dependent if you provided more than half of the support for the year and she did not earn more than $3,400 in the year. Also she must be citizen or resident.
