Has your partner been tested? That would be the next step if he hasn't already been and further testing on you as well. It can take over a year for some couples and there isn't anything wrong, but often after a year of trying, especially if you already know for sure you are ovulating, further testing will be done. Did you have an actual blood test or was ovulation determined with an ovulation kit? Keep in mind ovulation kits and temping/charting let you know your body is preparing to ovulate, not that you actually did. However, most women with regular cycles will be ovulating.

My partner has been tested and I went to the gynie who said that I was ovulating. I guess the next step is to go back and see what happens

I would suggest you relax and just let it happen - I know it can be very frustrating and disheartening but be strong and in time you will fall pregnant.

Since it has been over a year, and some testing has already been done, your doctor may suggest giving it another 6 months perhaps, or he/she may suggest further testing at this point. Most couples, who have no fertility concerns, will fall pregnant within a year to 18 months,. which is when testing usually starts if there has been no success. Certainly people do fall pregnant, seemingly out of the blue, years after they first started trying... but it is best to rule out any potential concerns first.
I've known couples who had a few years of fertility treatment, it just wasn't happening, they accepted it wasn't to be, and they became pregnant a year later on their own. Yes, it happens, but why put yourself through the frustration and not knowing if you don't have to. If there is a problem, often it can be taken care of fairly easily or with medical assistance. If no problems are determined, then you'll know it will possibly be just a matter of time.
