    Sound Card - Linux box
I would like to be able to route sound (ogg files) out from my linux PC to my stereo. That way I can sit on the deck and listen to my PC music collection with outdoor speakers. I assume I will need a soundcard that has analog output??

I'm looking at an M-audio 44 card vs a M-audio 66. The 66 is more expensive but has digital output also. Why would I need digital output? Will I still be able to play ogg's and mp3's with the "44" card even though it does not show digital output?

    Thanks!

Don't bother with digital out if you don't have snything with digital in :)
You don't need new or anything special

All you need is a jack to RCA cable like this one: Buy 3.5mm Stereo Jack to RCA Audio Cable - 3ft £2.59

Jack end looks like a headphone jack, and the RCA end has a red and white ends that look like a coax cable but thicker.

Plug the jack end into where you plug your speakers in, and the RCA end into the AUX input of your hifi (the red and white round plugs at the back all GOOD hifis have em)
