    Oil burnerr reset trips occasionally
My oil burner control safety trips and cuts off the furnace about once a month. Resetting it by pushing the red button easily restarts the burner. There is a wisp of smoke expelled around the flame viewing cover plate so I assume that some oil was left in the combustion chamber from the previous failed start. Other than this problem, the furnace starts and runs smoothly. I suspect an electrical problem, but I don't have a furnace repair experience to suggest a specific problem. Can someone suggest a probable reason for this behavior?

When you have a once a month event good luck in finding the problem. It could be the oil supply, ignition,or safety device. I would be inclined to look hard at the safety device and or a intermittent electric problem. Also check for a dirty cad cell. It is the item that watches the flame.

Washer stand pipe occasionally overflows [ 1 Answers ]

There doesn't seem to be any real rhyme or reason to this happening except that it seems to occur when we either run a very large load or if we happen to run a small load of laundry but still had the water level set for high or extra-high. However, it doesn't overflow every time this situation...
