    Residency and tax filing status.
Below are entry and exit dates in US on H1B visa. Upon exit from US, I was back in home country India.
    Entry 1: 07-Mar-2006
    Exit 1 : 09-Sep-2006
    Entry 2: 05-Oct-2006
    Exit 2 : 30-Jun-2007

I was working in New York city but stayed in New Jersey throughout the term.

For 2006 return was filed by me and my spouse as "Married filing jointly" status.
For 2007 return, I'm not able to figure out my status. Total stay in US in 2007 is 181 days.
Can you help out the tax filing status which would give me maximum refund?

Let me know your contact details to seek professional services for tax filing.

    Thanks in advance

You are an expatriate dual-status alien, and must file an expatriate dual-status return.

If you still need my help, PM me.
