    80's animated movie. THE BUNYAN!
Hey all. I really hope someone can help me. This has been haunting me for probably 20 years, and I REALLY NEED to find out what this is from so I can put it behind me. :)

I don't even know if my facts are right after all this time, but here goes...

I remember being utterly terrified by this creature in an 80's movie... the creature I BELIEVE was called the "Bunyan" or something like that... Though I COULD be completely wrong on the name.

I think it was supposed to be some kind of forest spirit or something... But I remember it coming through the trees of some animated forest... And I'm pretty sure the main character in this was a woman. Or a girl.

It must have been a special, not a weekly cartoon, because I remember knowing the part when this "Bunyan" thing would be coming up, and I'd literally wet my pants in fear.

It must have aired multiple times in the 80's.

I think I remember it being some spooky blur of colors or something...

Dear God, I know this is vague. But this demon has haunted me for 20 years, and I need to face it now that I'm a grown man and carry a handgun! I AM NOT AFRAID! :)

    At least, I don't think I am...

Anyway, I'm really sorry my memories aren't a little clearer... But I was probably like 5 years old, and it really messed me up.

    Thanks in advance!

I wonder if you're thinking of the Bunyip, which appeared in Dot and the Kangaroo.

Oh my god! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE THIS WEBSITE!

I just watched it on Youtube...

What kind of MESSED UP aussie puts aboriginal spirits in a KID'S MOVIE!

And the song actually says "THIS MONSTER IS GOING TO GET YOU."

Ahahhahaha... What is WRONG with people?

I'm resentfull... It really messed me up as a kid.

And it still freaks me out a little.

Anyway, thank you SO much. I can finally put the Bunyip behind me. :)

    You are most welcome.

From what I've read, that Bunyip freaked out other people. That's okay. I find the Oompa Loompas to be most disturbing.
