    Home repair estimate
    Does anyone know of a website that can be of assistance in estimating the cost of home repairs?

    I am buying a house that needs some repairs, and I want to know how to estimate the amount of money I am going to have to put into it.

    If you use a house inspector to assess the work, then he can recommend someone who can give you a quote on what has to done. I don't know how a website would determine this information without seeing what has to be done.

    I believe tickle is 100% correct -- prices vary and it would be difficult to estimate

    How much work is necessary and how long it will take -- have you seen those

    Shows that flip houses some need cosmetic fixes -- some turn out to be a money

    Pit and take twice as long to fix as they estimated... You probably need to have

    A local contractor do a walk through and get an estimate. Do you know anyone

    Who has had work done that would recommend a reliable contractor?
