    Elusive medical issues with husband
 My husband has had numerous problems through out our marriage. He has been to many doctors and has had many tests done including (MRIs, catscans, run on treadmill tests, hormone tests, etc.) and they can't find what is wrong. He is now living in a different city trying to find out what is wrong with a new set of doctors. Here is what he has been experiencing:
    Constant dizziness and severe fatigue
    Water retention in hands
    Sore joints
Unexplained weight gain (10 lbs in 4 days of eating healthy food with normal portions)
Moodiness (can go from okay to really mad in a short amount of time)
Difficulty sticking with tasks... will start and not be able to finish
    Lack of amibition
Severe headaches-he said his brain doesn't feel like it is getting enough oxygen
Large amount of pressure behind his ears and very sensitive ears

The doctors have run hormone and diabetis tests through blood work. He has also had sleep tests. Everything has come back normal. He has an appointment with a neurologist, but I am wondering if he should see an endrocronologist too. He is also waiting to see a psychiatrist and his moodiness makes me think cyclothiamic disorder... but there is more going on. Has anyone delt with this? Any suggestions? He is getting very depressed about not having solutions. Thanks.

My first line of defence has always been alternative medicine. Have an open mind and try a homeopathic doctor. Check your local listings for Naturopath or Homeopathic practitioners.

Does he have any heart problems? Has his heart been checked for congestive heart failure? Is he currently on any medications? How old is he?

No heart problems that we know of. He was told he had the heart of an athlete. He was on Lexapro and then Cymbalta... but they took him off those over 2 months ago. Now he is on Concerta for ADHD. He has been on that for 3 weeks. He is 35.
