    Tattoo options
    Okay I'm 17 (turning 18 in 5 1/2 months :) )
I'm looking to get my first tattoo!!
And I was wondering what you think of getting either a shooting star on my foot
A cross on the underside of my right wrist... OR.
A flower with vines on my lower hip!

A shooting star on your foot would look really neat.

You could do it to run along side a pair of sandals/flip flops

    The flowers sound neat too.

I saw a tattoo on the back of a guys calf one time and I thought that was neat
I was thinking of getting a tattoo there if I ever got the courage to get a tattoo
    So I drew this

Get whatever you'll be happy with for the rest of your life. I see a lot of people getting stars, and wonder will that still be cool in 30 years.. lol

Get something that has meaning or something you like a lot.

The nice thing about stars is that if you get tired of them you can get something drawn in with them to make a totally new design.
Like a rose with a star instead of a dew drop or an iguana with a star for the eye or something.

Shooting stars on feet are adorable, but I must warn you that they are being done a lot lately. Foot tattoos are not as unique as they used to be, and it seems a lot of people are putting stars on their feet. Of course, you should get whatever makes you happy, and whatever you are willing to live with forever, but make sure that your tattoo is meaningful to you. Also, make sure that everyone else walking down the street does not have your tattoo.

The flower with vines on your hip sounds cute. Personally, if it were me choosing, I'd go for that one. :)

    Good luck!

Keep in mind the way these tattoos will influence your possible professional future. A tattoo on your foot might mean you can't wear anything but boots in an office environment. Tattoos on your wrist mean people see them when they shake your hand, again, you run the risk of looking unprofessional. Putting one on your hip prevents the workplace problem, but think about what it will look like if you get pregnant, gain/lose a lot of weight, and what it will look like when you're 80 and all saggy. :)

Whatever you do think it through very, very, very carefully. My advice is to pick a design and location and wait at least six months to see if you still like the idea. Aim for something that has meaning and significance to you, not just something that "looks cool". I got a tattoo when I was younger that I regretted very shortly after. Several years and a couple grand later I had it laser removed - it's not pleasant!
