    Stud muffin rabbit
I got a new pet rabbit yesterday, and he is a registered mini rex. His name is stud muffin. I was wondering if you could have a rabbit declawed? He scratches more than most inside rabbits when you pick him up. Any suggestions?:( :( :(

Declawing is a rather cruel process that involves removing part of the foot structure of the rabbit, taking away some of its defense mechanism, just like declawing a cat or dog, which is just as cruel. It causes the animal to be unable to scratch itself, which is awful, and on top of that, many animals, upon waking up to discover they have lost part of their foot structure, have a change in personality and attitude, some even become unstable or insane. I really do not think that you should declaw your rabbit. It is possible to prevent the scratching, however, with nail caps, like softclaws, etc. as you can find them in sizes that may fit your rabbit. Soft Claws Questions and Answers
