    Hi

    If I'm on ssi can I file for the new tax credit??


    And if I can what if someone in my house hold has already claimed me does that mean I can't get it?

    I assume you are asking about the economic stimulus payment (also called the tax rebate). If you are claimed as someone else's dependent then you are not eligible. Also, SSI payments do not count towards the $3K income threshold - so you must have $3K of income from sources such as social security, veterans benefits, or earned income.
