    My rights
I am renting a house that has been auctioned off I have been paying my rent on time and all of a sudden they are telling me that I have to move out now and I am not getting any deposits back and telling me that I owe him for this month, when I checked and they said the house was actioned off on the 6th of this month.

Am I responsible for this months rent and am I going get any of my deposit back?

You shouldn't have to pay rent on a house that you didn't get to stay in. Unfortunately I have no ideas about any laws on this so I can't give a for sure answer. But I would say since the house was actioned off you will probably not get your deposite back. I would think you could try and fight this in a small claims court. Hopefully someone will have a for sure answer for you on this.

When a bank forecloses your lease usually ends. Your deposit is still in the hands of the original landlord and you'd probably have to get into a long line to sue him for the money. The new owner does not have your deposit and is not required to hand it over. You owe for this month and they can give you as little as 30 days to move.
