A family goes to a town. The town is full of monster/people who eat humans. If humans eat the food in the town then they get all slimy and are devoured by the monsters. A guy buys some milk from a store and after drinking it, he turns into something... I believe he turns into a plant and is kept by one of the monster people... or he could have been turned into food and someone else turns into the plant. The plant guy's friend tries to save him when he discovers him in the house.
At the end of the movie, I believe the boy and his mother have escaped and are back at their home and the mother eats an apple which turns her into monster food and the boy goes into the kitchen and finds the monsters eating her.
