    Baby Kitten sick
My cat gave birth two weeks ago to 4 HEALTHY baby kittens but all of a sudden this afternoon, one is sick, he is crying, has been ill on himself, his paws are cold and he is so limp!!! I can't let this kitten die, I wont be able to function and I will be so heartbroken, the vet says there isnt much I can do, I need some reassurance... anything??

I wish I could reassure you, maybe try keeping him warm, rubbing him, maybe heat pads (with plenty of towels over it, enough to keep him warm)

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard to accept when an animal dies, especially one so young, but know that you did all you could, it just wasn't meant to be. Take comfort in the fact that you still have the other kittens, concentrate on keeping them healthy and happy. Good luck.

I am also sorry you lost this kitten. Don't blame yourself, there really is not much you can do, and they seem to go downhill so fast. It may be "fading kitten syndrome", sort of a feline "crib death". Keep a close eye on the other kittens & make sure Mom is still giving plenty of normal-appearing milk. The other kittens may not be affected at all.
