Relocating with husband's employer & working remotely
My husband has accepted a position with a new company, but they will pay only up to $2000 towards moving expenses. I've recently interviewed for a position with a new company that would like me to start work in the local office before we relocate to the new town. Once we move, I would commute remotely most of the time, but would be based out of an office near our new home. Prior to my interview, I told them I was relocating due to my husband's job. My question: what kind of relocation benefit can I expect from my new employer? Would it be reasonable to request a bonus to help us cover the other expenses of the move?

You can ask if they willing to offer you moving expenses but you can't expect that they will.
