    File Txes without W2
    Hi,

My wife and myself are both on H1-B status. I worked the whole year of 2005 and got W2 form but my wife couldn't work and so she doesn't have a W2 form for 2005. How would I file the taxes? Should I need to report anywhere that she didn't work or should I report just my W2.

    Thanks in advance.

    R:

Just report the income on your W-2.

You should file Married Filing Jointly to claim personal exemptions of $3,200 each (total of $6,400) and a joint standard deduction of $10,000.
