How to compose good musics without instruments?
I always wanted to be a r&b singer since I was 14. But I don't know how to compose musics for my songs. I can sing well as I've good voice. I can't play any instrument either. I'll be very great ful to answerers..

You can buy CD's that have music only, no words. Maybe you can practice by working some of your singing into something like that?
If you know any friends that can play any kind of instrument, maybe they can help you as well. It might benefit you to learn how to play a keyboard. It may help. :) |

Learning basic keyboarding skills and theory is not hard, but it does take time and practice. I would suggest finding a good piano teacher who teaches voice, improvisation and also theory. A lot of piano teachers don't teach how to improvise or music theory. If you were to learn just some piano using basic blues scales and the supporting chords behind them, I'm sure that what you are currently making up with your singing would go further and also be enhanced. You could be accompanying yourself in just a few lessons. As far as the writing of the music, in order to do it yourself, you would need to know a lot about music theory or have someone else write out what you are singing.
Do you own a keyboard or piano? I could actually show you how to do some basics on it on this site. What you would need besides a keyboard, piano and yourself, would be something that could keep a steady beat, such as a clock that ticks really loudly or a metronome. Then, we would have a point of reference concerning the rhythms and speeds of the musical devices that I would be attempting to teach you. It would be very difficult for you to compose music without using an instrument that has a fixed pitch of some kind without knowing a lot about music theory. |
