    Replacement Thermostat Zone Problems
I just replaced one of the two thermostats in my house. (2 Zone)
    Here are the details:
2 zone forced air heating and AC
    Oil
3 wires, were not properly labeled
    Green, White, and Red
I have them in the G, W, and RC connections.

Now, when the old zone kicks in both zones heat. When the new thermostat kicks in it works fine, only heating its zone.

This problem just happened after the installation. Is it a wiring problem?

    Thanks

    Brand of zone valves
    Model of zone valves

    Brand of thermostat
    Model number of thermostat.

    Be accurate.

I have a very hard time helping people since I lost my crystal ball.
When I had my crystal ball I could wave it in front of the computer screen and the brand and model name and numbers used to show up so I could be of some help.. LOL.

Hi, We have a 2 zone oil burner. The 1st zone (upstairs) runs separately and works no problem. The 2nd zone(basment), when we try to run 2nd zone separately , it seems to run zone 1(upstairs) and the baseboard heating upstairs gets hot and heats zone 1 even thought we have the t-stat set low...

Thermostat 2 zone wiring [ 2 Answers ]

During winter, heat worked great for both zones, one up and one down. When calling for AC now, only down zones works (compressor and fan kick on and AC flows). While the down zones works, it does pump some AC to upper floors, but not a strong air flow, so it does cool, just very slow... The up...

Hi all, first question here! I've spent an hour searching, learned a lot, but not a specific answer so I hope this isn't too common a question! One family ranch home with gas furnace, hot water baseboards, 40 year old Honeywell thermostats in main floor hall and basement main room. When...

Programming 3 zone thermostat [ 3 Answers ]

I have a multi level home, and it's set up in 3 zones so I can set my thermostat for each zone, up to 4 periods per day, for the whole week(HVAC tech says they now claim this method really doesn't save $). We are comfy at 68 for heat, so if other zones aren't being used for a period, what is...
