    Child's speech
I have a daughter who will be three years old she is a bright child but I have recently realized that she is not able to prononce words with the letter c or k in them if she says a word with the letters they come out like a d. Also the letter f comes out like a b she says "this is for you but it comes out this is bor you" Am I just paranoid or does she need speech therapy. She also tends to talk fast a lot of times.

It could be a combination of her age and the fact that she often talks fast. I would say the next time you take her to the doctor, ask him/her what their opinion of your daughter's speech is. If they feel that she should be speaking more clearly at her age, then one of the things they might recommend is a speech therapist. When I was in the 3-5 age range, I had trouble pronouncing some things distinctly, and I started seeing a speech therapist. After a year or so, I was talking much more clearly. But, I have also seen lots of kids at that age who talk like that and end up speaking better after another year or two, and especially once they get into school.

My cousin has a little boy who is now 4 years old. Up until about the last 8 months, you could hardly understand a word that kid said. Starting when he was about 3 1/2, you could understand a LOT more of what he was saying. He just turned 4 in December and seems to be talking better and better every day. Now you can actually understand him all the time! Lol

So maybe she just needs a little more time. I agree with the other poster!
