    Sharp pain above tooth
    Hello I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that when I run or walk on hard surfaces in shoes with heels a get a pain in a tooth that has got a filing already in the top left of my mouth. I went to the dentist today who did some x rays and couldn't see anything wrong. She checked all my gums and couldn't find anything wrong. She did say it could be my sinus's but I haven't noticed anything unfamiliar. Could it be a blood vessel trapped or root problem? It doesn't hurt if I chew and even when the dentist bashed it with her tool!
    If anyone can help I would be very grateful

    It sounds like sinuses to me. If the nerve is dying the tooth would have sent you through the roof when the dentist tapped on it and it would be sensitive to biting and heat. There is no chance for a blood vessel to be trapped near the root of the tooth.

    The roots of the upper teeth rest very closely to the sinuses and even if you have a mild sinus infection, cold or allergies it can feel like you have a tooth ache. Did your dentist recommend an antihistamine or Tylenol cold and sinus to see if it solves the problem.
