    Skin Whitening
 Hi, I'm new on this site and I've been looking around and I see that a lot of people have the same problem as I do, surprisingly. I am african american but due to personal reasons I no longer want to have a dark complexion. I want to whiten my skin to look as if I was born white and I want to know if anyone out there has any recommendations for what products I should use in order to whiten (NOT LIGHTEN) my skin. For a general idea of the complextion I want, visit this site:

    http://www.allmichaeljackson.com/gal...ousera129.html

Please don't reply with questions as to why I would want to change my skin color, I have personal reasons and would rather not get into details. I just want to whiten my skin (again, whiten, not lighten) with no side effects or skin damage from the product in the shortest time possible. If anyone out there knows of any products that Definitely work that would greatly be appreciated. I am currently contemplating purchasing Benzyl-Arbutin 5%, is this a good product? Thanks!!

If it's depigmenting that you want, then you may need to read through the threads on monobenzone or benoquin.

As for Benzyl arbutin it appears that we are still waiting for someone to try it and then place a response on the results. I think people have not decided to chose this product for a couple of reasons. Firstly the prices were very expensive when they first introduced it and this put a lot of people off, Although the company have now reduced the price. Secondly the other herbal inn prodducts offered by this company did not seem to work on anyone, so made it difficult to be confident about anything else they had to offer.

If you do decide to try it, then it would be great if you could share your results, good or bad.

    Good Luck

Following our conversation in PMs. You should perhaps use monobenzone if you really need to but use a low percent, maybe 5%? So the lightening will be gradual (to avoid unwanted results)

If you are going to use mono, I really advice any one to use the cream, get higher percentage and then dilute it to 10%
Let's say you bought 40% or 50% to make it 10% you will add a lot of your favorite cream to keep you form getting dry, the cream is made to not cause extreme dryness like the one you make at home with the raw material, a lot of people claim that the powder make them dry to the where they developed wrinkles.
I was told by a manufacturer that mono can be used it for skin lightening , use only 10% to be used for 4 months and then give your skin a break and start again, just like mono_attention said on and off

I am sorry for whatever you experienced to make you want to do this. I hope you situation changes.. because I don't believe doing this will make your life easier.. u will be placed under a lot of scrutiny, shame, scorn etc from the people who know you before you whiten.. or during the process. Sigh.

I use a little bit of mono powder mixed in with my other ingredients, and it's working so well. I tried the mono powder by itself before but obviously that will get you nowhere... but when I did, it peeled me so well. It especially peeled my elbows very well, to the point that they are no longer black! They blend in and they're brown like the rest of my skin.

Nice, good for you. I just hope that I can get to the desired skin tone that I want... w/o negative side effects of course.
