    Roommates boyfriend refuses to leave
Ok so here is the situation. Last week my roomates boyfriend went psycho on me, threatened to kick my or even kill me and just lost his temper in a major way. I left the house for 5 days and cooled off and made a decision that the boyfriend, who is not on the lease and does not contribute to rent, needed to leave. Upon confronting them he refuses to leave and they assume that I have to let him stay there whether I like it or not until the lease is up. I need to get out of this situation. There are two months left on the lease. Since I already gave my landlord my 30 day notice based on the situation, am I obligated to pay the last month or even two months rent? Basically I cannot stay in my house because I do not feel safe. Thank you for your input.

Have you talked to your roommate about moving out and leaving it as her obligation to finish off the contract? Considering the situation that you are in with the boyfriend and the fact she is allowing him to remain, that would seem to be the simplest answer. If she agrees to cover the additional costs make sure you write up an agreement and have her sign it. If for some reason she is not willing to let you off the $ obligation, maybe you can stay there and call the police and have him charged with uttering threats.
