Buying a used car in a different state.
Is this something that is easily done? I found a car at a Chevy dealership in Indiana, and I live in Minnesota. Can anyone explain how it would work?

    Thanks! :D

Get a bill of sale/buyers agreement, with a signed title (unless you are financing, in which case the lien-holder would hold the title) and you are done.
You might also consider asking for the vehicle identification number and requesting a carfax report, if you haven't done so already.
    I hope this helps.

You just buy the car first off. It is no problem to get it transferred. You will get a Indiana title. When you go for your tag take the title and insurance. They will give you the tag and send you a Minnesota title. You just have to pay taxes to transfer it. I got my car in Iowa and had to transfer it to Oklahoma it was $92 my car was an 2000 so this should give you some type of idea. Good luck its pretty easy.

THANKS! That's all I needed to know. (Carfax record is clean.) However, I just now found out that the place I got a loan from said that I have to get a car in the same state that I am in, which seems odd to me. I guess I'll apply somewhere else.

    THANKS AGAIN!
