Over the past year or so I've become real close to my best mate,, she is just a real quality girl to be around!. we are going on hol in August to portugal just me and her now I know I have really strong feelings for her but I don't want to spoil our friendship by telling her how I feel... if I tell her now I fear it would spoil our hol and I don't want that... but I'm not sure I can keep these feeling locked up much longer... just wondering if its guna be best till after our hol and then tell her how I feel...

My ex and I were really good friends before we started dating, and we knew each other since age 13. Just be real around her, make sure she has a great time, make sure she is always laughing. But to be safe, I would wait till after, or near the end of the holiday (depending on the circumstances). And just be honest, tell her that you really value her as a friend, but that you are starting to have strong feelings for her, and then just take whatever comes... that's what I did, and I got a positive reaction, and then I started courting her around, 5 months later we were legit.

Talk to her about your feelings. The sooner the better, but if there is money involved, it takes a backseat to being honest and open. Just me, because I can see no other reason for going on a cruise, or vacation, with only my friend, except for romance.
