    Sounds like something is wrong, you might want to get it fixed. :) At least from the description you've given.

    What is connected to the TV? What other devices are involved in your design of the TV room.

    Does the TV have power going to it? How did you verify that the source of the power is good?

    Are their any indicators? and no picture and sound? If you have it plugged into good outlet, it could be as simple as a fuse. Better than 60% of things I have seen Total failure from, was a fuse(if you are lucky)they also blow because of other failures.
    With TV unplugged, someone familiar with electronics would still be careful of the charg the Tube holds(at High Voltage line connection), and Capacitors store voltage.
    They would start where the Power cord goes in, then through fuse(many don't look like fuses any more)but usually has F 1, or some F number, may go through ON/OFF switch if manual. Unplug external connections(speakers, amp, everything), then try again

I have a Toshiba Satellite A10 that I need to access the motherboard on but I cannot get the bottom off. I have removed every screw I can see but there looks to be some underneath the keyboard. Has anybody else had this problem and if so how do you get them apart? Thanks
