    Why am I not allowed to claim my 17 yr old son as a dependent on Turbo Tax?

    To answer this we need a bit more information about your situation:

    1. Is your son living with you?
    2. Are you providing more than half his support?
    3. Are you divorced or separated, and you are not the custodial parent?
    4. Is your son an American citizen?
