Stand embodies all I feel... and reminds me that I'm strong and going to make it through anything.

But life, you know all about that ;)

I recently started listening to this band called Beirut.

I have no idea what it means, or what nationality the band is, but I'm loving the music.

"Nantes" is probably my favorite song of theirs. You should check it out... now...

Listening to the soundtrack for Footloose today - loving the song Holding Out for a Hero today :) Making me want to get out and dance though!

    Holding Out for a Hero
Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
    Where's the street-wise Hercules
    To fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream
    Of what I need

    [Chorus]

    I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
    He's got to be strong
And he's got to be fast
And he's got to be fresh from the fight
    I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
    He's got to be sure
And it's got to be soon
And he's got to be larger than life

    Somewhere after midnight
    In my wildest fantasy
    Somewhere just beyond my reach
There's someone reaching back for me
Racing on the thunder end rising with the heat
It's going to take a superman to sweep me off my feet

    [Chorus]

Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I would swear that there's someone somewhere
    Watching me

Through the wind end the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
    I can feel his approach
Like the fire in my blood

Hey HC, I think I'll adopt that as my theme song! ;) I'm going out celebrating on the wkd, and I will request it and all us girls will get up and dance with you!

In fact I have the CD somewhere. I'm going to hunt for it! Maybe even a little 'Flashdance" too! :D
