Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!
For all of us addicts out here, I thought we needed our own little corner of AMHD.
Our own virtual coffeeshoppe... a place where we can sit and chat over a steamy cup of our favorite brew...
What is your favorite coffee drink? Are you a frequent flyer at Starbucks? Do they know you by name? (Personally, I have my own named drink... sad, I know) How do you take your coffee? Light and sweet? Black? With cream?
So, in honor of our addiction, coffeeholics unite! :)
"Amazing what caffeine and no sense of self-preservation can do."
"Caffeine Binge: That which is necessary to function normally."
"Just bring me my coffee, and s-l-o-w-l-y back away."
NO DECAF ALLOWED!!!

Mmm... 5 shot americano... impressive! Add a shot of hazelnut into that and its perfect.
White mocha, huh? I've never been a big fan of that - too sweet - but with the three shots, maybe that would be yummy... I'll have to try it!
Thanks, ISF! :)

HC - Is it surprising that I'm the first to respond?
My favorite coffee drink? I love them all equally.
Starbucks sweet Starbucks, if only you delivered.
I like my coffee with cream and sugar.
And just to get the ball rolling, here's a coffee joke:
A man went to his psychiatrist and said, "Every time I drink my coffee, I get a stabbing pain in my right eye," the psychiatrist said, "well, have you tried taking the spoon out?"

I'm an all-the-time coffee drinker... hot, cold, early, late, you name it, I drink it. I love a good, strong cup of iced black coffee on a hot day, a steamy red-eye on a snowy day, or a frothy cappuccino on a chilly afternoon.
Nothing soothes the soul like good music, good friends, and a cup of coffee.

I like mine as much as I can get into my system without having a complete caffeine induced hypo. I need it I'm a sleepy bunny.
I just drink instant or the possibly poisonous and definitely overpriced liquid they serve at the lab's café. Seriously I think we should run some tests on it and work out if it actually is coffee.
I dream of the day I can afford Starbucks!

I can honestly say that I detest instant coffee and have been consuming too much of the gourmet stuff to ever go back to when I did like it. Sad, isn't it? My time overseas really heightened my love for STRONG black coffee...
Although... the other night I went to dinner at a friend's house. She and her family are from India and have only been in the States for 7 years. She made this absolutely amazing coffee (strong, steamy, divine!) for me - when I asked what kind of coffee she used, she told me that its just this instant brand from India... wow... I have no idea what kind of magic she did to make it taste like that, but it was milky and frothy and angelic!!
I drink Starbucks because it is a necessary evil. If I had the choice, I'd open my own tiny coffee shop and only serve Sumatran, Guatemalan, and Ethiopian. They do have it right though - put the flavor IN the coffee, don't flavor the beans... :)

I have to admit there are some great little coffee shops around here. I always take the emotionally stressed to them to chat and unwind. So much cheaper than Starbucks too.
There is this fantastic tea shop where I used to live that does nutella coffee. Like a mocha but with nutella. Genius.
I'd kill for a good mocha made with syrup not powded chocolate right now!

Hello Historygirl:
Well, I'm from Seattle – the birthplace of Starbucks. Only certain baristas know how to draw a perfect shot of espresso, so I only go to my special places. I have to have my macchiato with warmed half and half instead of the milk foam. It needs a cool design on it too. We, Seattleites are so damn smug.

I agree though, the cool design makes the cup of coffee infinitely better! Seattle coffee... mmm... :)

Yup, I have to have a pot of black coffee before I leave my house... then I go for the half and half in my Starbucks...

Nutella coffee? Where can I get that? I must have it. Do you think adding a spoon full of nutella to regular coffee would do the trick? I'm going to buy some nutella the next time I go grocery shopping.
If Starbucks delivered I'd have them on speed dial.

I like my coffee the way I like my whiskey, a little diluted.
Throw some jack in my coke. Throw some coffeee in hot chocolate.
Sissy a$$? I don't care.
If I turn the fireplace up high and bring my betrothed a cup o' 70/30 java/hot choco, there's a chance ill get her naked.
Screw that... if I skip the java and go 60/40 hot choco and baileys, there's even a better chance.
But... if she's out of town and false hope isn't hope at all, throw me a few creams and some splenda.
Ask me again in a dozen years when I'm more crotchety and b!tchy... maybe ill take it more straight.

The best coffee I have ever tasted, was Kaladi Brothers in Anchorage Alaska...
But here it seems I take what ever beans that are avail at the country store and I grind them, brew them, and pour it in a cup add my vanilla creamer... wa la! A pot or more a day keeps Startover22 at bay... LOL
( out of creamer today so I suffer quietly)
