    Too many prescriptions
I have found out in the past 6 months that my allergies to dogs has increased (and I own 2), I have a hypothyroid and a B12 deficiency. My doctor has me on synthroid for my thyroid, monthly B12 injecitons and allegra for my allergies. I also have a hard time sleeping, falling alseep, staying asleep and tried taking Ambien which helped some, but not great. I feel like I am being pumped full of drugs. I am 28 years old, don't drink, don't smoke, eat fairly healthy and work out regulary. Any ideas on what I can/should do? I have seen 2 different doctors who both basically say take the meds and quit complaining. I am on the verge of paying $200 to see a holistic doctor for a third opinion... any help would be appreciated

I know holistic doctors that are good with this problem but they are in my area. There may be some good ones in your area but I would be careful on finding a good one.

A lot will depend on where you are at at, some of the holistic doctors are good, others are not. Of course a holistic doctor normally will not beelive in most prescriptions soone has to balance what each will tell you.
And of course if you have allergies, you may want to think of getting rid of the dogs ( sorry but they will effect your breathing and your breathing effects your sleeping and rest.

daisy338 - There are 3 (THREE) things you can do ,#1- go to a allergery doctor, and have him to test you what alergeys you have and he can then give you meds. That will help. IM surprised that you don't have asthma with it ,you probably do and don't know it , he will be able to tell you after he has tested you , and it should be only be one vieit for testing. My uoungest son ,we found out when he was 5 years old about his troubles was allergers and asthma, and Dr. GroganKEPT him alive , ghe is now 38 years old but it don't brother him as bad any more , our daughter has three boys and two of them had the same problems. This comes from my wife's side of her family and her hothers side. The allergest will tell you most of th allergerys areinherrited on down from generation to generation. . Now about sleep and felling tired all the time - Go and see your family doctor about what is called ( SLEEP APNEA ) and have him to set you up for testing on that, all you will do is spend a night at the sleep clinic with a bunch of wires hooked up to you that will tell all about durning the night ,even if you dreamed or not or had night mares. It don't hurt at all. I had the first test and he said I was susposed to score between 0 and 30 , and that I scored 79 and I had to go threw the second test. He said that my oxygen level dropped down to 68 % for as much as a hour at night , he told me that so far my body had woke me up at the right time so far but that some day I was going to go to sleep but not wake up . He now has me on a cpac with 10 % oxygen at night or if I take a nap durning the day last year I found out I had high blood pressure, every time it got over 200/110 my right side of my noose would start pouring blood, Heart doc. Said I have like a pressure relieve valve in my nose , Like a hot water tank, I was in a big restaurant 3 times, when it happened to me, But kept me from a stroke, Im doing OK now ,two stents DO what I susgested and find out the real causes . GOD BLESS :: F.B.E.
