I am installing a new lavatory in proximity to a toilet 2" vent pipe. Is it okay to tie the lavatory drain to the toilet vent pipe?

If there's nothing connected to the 2" vent above where you're teeing off to pick up the lavatory the answer is, yes you may.
Cut in a 2X2X1 1/2" drainage tee 17 1/2" off the floor to center of the tees branch. You can arm off the tee and stub out 1 1/2" to the trap. Good luck. Tom

How many turns can a lavatory drain take [ 3 Answers ]

Lavatory pop up stopper [ 2 Answers ]

I had a new large Kohler sink installed in the bathroom. The pop up stopper can be twisted and pulled out. I've got the pivot rod piercing the eyelet of the stopper and I've tightened the retaining nut, but with minimal twist, the stopper just comes out of the drain. I would think that the pivot...
