    Hot/grd reverse
Hi. One one side of my wall there are 2 sockets that get the message from my tester of Hot/Grd reverse. Also, on one of the adjoining walls, it is the same thing. The rest of the house is fine. Do you have any suggestions of what to do? Thank you. Doug

    Yes, I have a suggestion.

Ar you skilled with working on electrical lines? If you are, then I wold turn off the breaker that controls the failing receptacles. Next, I would make sure the are off by testing with a meter. Once I know that they are dead, I would remove the faceplate and take out the outlet.

On a correctly wired outlet you should the Black wire connected to the shorter of the slots on the receptacle. White goes to the longer of the two slots. If you outlet is a pass through outlet, there should be two additional
Black/White wires. They should follow the same orientation as the other wires.

If you don't know what you are doing, please call call licensed electrician!
