    Mobile home foreclosure.
I live in Texas.. I bought a house in October.. I have been trying to sell my mobile home since October.. anyway, I have been making the payments except this month.. I told the mortgage company I can't afford to keep making the 2 mortgage payments.. they called me today threatening me I have till the 29th.. my payment was due on the 1st of Feb.. they told me I could have a lien placed against my new home.. is that true? Also, the new home is in my fatherinlaws name Im the cosigner.. Im disabled and on a fixed income.. I know I am responsible but it is unaffordable at this point.. I have been paying the lot rent and the electric.. also, I had a girl that wanted to buy the home and just take up the payments the mortgage company turned her down.. what the hell?. anyway, they called me today and asked me if I had found someone else to buy my home.. Im like I had someone you should have approve her.. just all the threats and Im only 19days late.. give me a break.. what can they legally do? Lien on my house that's in my fatherinlaws name Im just the cosigner?please help.. I can keep paying the bills at the mobile home..

I don't know if the bank can do anything if you as the cosigner have debt, maybe someone else will know.

What I can say is you can't blame the bank for turning down the potential buyer, they have to pass a credit check. Just because you found a buyer does not mean the bank has to give them a mortgage.

And this is the danger of buying a new home when your current one does not yet have a buyer. You see this all the time on those shows about buying and selling property. I'm sure a buyer will come by soon enough but you'll have to find a way to make this payment.

The girl had good credit just not enough.. thats ridiculous.. she is getting a divorced.. and has credit with her husband.. all I wanted was transfer equity.. to get out from under it..
You know as well as I do.. that mobile homes do not sell.. no one wants to buy them.. and the mortgage companies need to chill out if they want to stop all the repos.. I guarantee there are more mobile home repos than real property repos..
