I have a 18 day old baby girl not sure how much she should be eating.
Me and girlfriend have a 18 day old girl. This morning she told me thet she has been pucking and I asked her why! She said that mabey its because she eats so much. Well then I aked how much she been feeding her and she said every time she crys and I said you can't do that and she said she always eats is all. Well I think that falls into the little kid crying in the store to get candy and I don't think its right. We are using Goodstart powder and I really need to know what's healthy for her because I don't want her being sick. Thanks a lot any help would be great!!

I think you both need to go to the doctor and ask for help. Ask your doctor those sorts of questions. Babies usually cry for only a couple of reasons. They are wet, they are hungry, they are tired, or they are sick. Do you burp her after feeding? Are you breast feeding or bottle feeding? If bottle is the milk warmed? And I mean warm, not hot! Do you test the milk before feeding her? See there are a ton of questions that are best answered by a qualified NP or doctor.

I agree with 450donn, these questions are all easily answered by a pediatrician. They can help answer your questions and give you information about what times your baby needs to eat and how much you should feed her.

This help desk is a wonder for all kinds of problems, but with this one, we can only tell you to visit a doctor or ask your parents for help. :)

Take care of that darling baby girl! :)

Yea well she doesn't take me to the doctor with her. We are bottle feeding and I don't think she is warning up we using goodstart newborn powder. Of course we burp her, she always eats so fast that if you don't stop her she gets the hickups. I thank you for your help just wanted to get ballpark quess so I could make sure she not getting fed too much.:)
