    240 volt to 120 v
I'm looking at buying a few tools from america, which I understand run on 240 volts. I want to know if its possible to change it to 120volt by just changing the lead.

    Cheers:D

Most if not all power hand tools in USA are 120V, or cordless battery powered. I would say all hand tools are 120V, but if I do someone will find one that is not, just prove me wrong.

Some charges to battery operated tools may have universal inputs (100-240 V). You would need to check the owner's manual.
