Child abuse 2nd time arresed and mother doesn't do anything.
    Hi, We have situation.
My husband's ex-girlfriend's child age 12 and her brothers(3 more sis and bro) at foster care right now. My husband has custody 50/50 with his ex girlfriend with paying child support.

We got called from their county child protection center and her husband has been arrested by child abused and it is 2nd time.
Mother doesn't do anything for children(no help) so she seems arrested too.

Story is.. one of child got abused and other child try to protect and got both abused.
Mother doesn't help and she doesn't do anything.
I'm not sure who called 911.
According from the counselor, 4 children's are in Foster care right now.
My husband going to the court for hearing next week and we are ready to take care of her.

My question is this --- that guy, 2nd time child abused arrested. How long he or they will be stay in prison? Because both that child's mother and husband are dangerous folks.
They have 4 kids with all different biological father during their marrying period about 10 years. We found out her husband's criminal record when we had custodial healing year ago. He supposed to go counseling in first time but he doesn't attend. The family moved several times inside of same county last 10 years.

How long he will be at prison?

    ******add info

We checked their court record and found out they have filed 4 times with DV/W child(ren).
County counselor told us they will not going to make easy this time.
Every time they filed DV but in the end seems they didn't show up to the court.(we saw min)

We are waiting for hearing but we going to ask full costody this time.

    Thank you.

There is no way to tell. You don't indicate the type of abuse or anything else. Even with more info we don't know what he was charged with etc.

The best thing you can do is get full custody

There is no way to tell, he could get probation, in some courts with the right attorney, So he can get 15 years to 0 years, all depends on judge, the jury, the evidence and if the DA works out a deal.

At this point the father should be filing for full cusotdy in court

At this point assume he's not going at all and proceed in that direction. You can't predict what's going to happen so assume the worst and cover your bases. It may be possible for your husband to apply to get full custody and seek restraining orders against both mom and step dad so any future visitation is held in a monitored status.
