    Cross bow hunting laws
    I am a convicted felon and I wanted to know if I can use a cross bow to hunt with.

    Yes, you can use a cross bow, even a muzzle loader, just not a rifle, shotgun or handgun.

    You see, with the purchase of a crossbow, or the purchase of a muzzleloader (black powder firearm), one does not have to go through the typical background check as one who is buying a rifle, shotgun, or hand gun.

    Therefore, anyone over the age of 18 is allowed to purchase a crossbow or muzzleloader.

    My boyfriend used to hunt rabbits with a crossbow all the time. He was quite good at it.
