    Studor Vent Installation
I am remodleing my bathroom, there is a 1 1/2 inch air vent where the old vanity and sink were.
I would like to install a studor vent in the new vanity but not quite sure of the proper way to vent it.
Does some one have a picture they could send me?
This is using a standard 1 1/4 p-trap to a trap adaptor to the waste line.

Studor is just a brand of AAV air admittance valve. Oatey makes a kit which includes the tail piece and trap and this may be a good option for you. The aav is standing verticle mid way on the lateral drain pipe. If you are doing it yourself you need a lateral with a Tee.

Do I need a Studor Vent [ 11 Answers ]

The contractor who is remodeling my kitchen installed a new sink. The drain pipe goes under the floor through the crawl space. He said there is enough height to the drainage, so there is no need to install a vent. I have read that you need to install a studor vent if it's hard to connect to the...

Studor Vent [ 1 Answers ]

I recently got a new roof (flat) after Hurricane Wilma. My bathroom vent pipe had blown out through the roof and the roofers stupidly tarred over the drain. Not wanting to open up the roof, the contracted plumber said that a studor vent could be used instead of opening up the hole on the roof. Even...

Studor Vent Failing? [ 3 Answers ]

We have a Studor Terminal in an inside hallway closet in our home. Occasionally, when you walk by you can smell the sewer gases, the nice rotten egg smell of hydrogen sulfide. I thought these were a one way air vent system and prevented this sort of thing? Is it not functioning properly?...

I have a 6 foot lav in my new addition. The bath is on the 2nd floor and there is no way to run the drain into the wall because of the joist below the wall. I am going through the floor into the 1st floor joist space with both lav drains. My question is -Can I use one studor vent for both lavs? I...
