89 Honda CRX, possible fuel system failure?
Today, I was in the middle lane of a four lane highway. I was stopped at an intersection. Out of nowhere my oil and battery lights flicked on. It was almost like I had killed my car (it's a manual). I know I didn't, but I tried to start it anyway. It wouldn't start. The same lights kept coming on. Once the check engine light even came on for a split second.
Anyway, fire department came and pushed me into a parking lot. I called my mom and she came down about half and hour, 45 minutes later. I had tried to start the car in the parking lot too.
We talked for a while. Then and as we were going to leave, I decided to try and start the car again. It started right up!!
I had used some fuel injector cleaner. I think it might've broken up all the buildup and clogged my fuel filters. My car wasn't taken care of, it still had the stock timing belt and headgasket which I later had problems with (at 173, almost 174,000 miles).
Point is, my car's running now, but I don't know why it died in the first place. Checked the alternator and the battery, and the fuses. All good.
Any ideas? Sorry for the long story, but that's all the facts I can think of.
    Thanks.

Did the engine crank when you tried to restart? Was it raining? Might be bad ignition wires causing it to stall and not start.

Go over the complete electrical system--ignitor, coil, main relay, rotor, distributor cap, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. Be sure to perform the K-Test on the ECM, since many computers are failing on these old Hondas.

I haven't tried anything with the main relay. Maybe the timing's off?? The engine does turn over, but doesn't start up.
What could go wrong if the main relay does??
And how do you fix it?
Also, what's the K-test, I'll do anything to figure out the problem, but I have issues with money, so the less expensive, the better.
    Lol hopefully, cross your fingers!
