    Summons from Credit Card Company
    Help!

    I live in California. I received a summons from Discover Bank and that account is under a consolidation company. My consolidation agent told me to do NOTHING (do not respond to the summons) and just wait for the judgment, then they will settle the account with Discover Bank.

    Should I listen to them and wait for the judgment?

    Doesn't sound right to me. Why would you let them get a judgement? The idea of the consolidation is to avoid judgements. I think you need a new debt counselor.

    I agree with Scott, that's sounds very bizarre. Waiting to let them settle without your input isn't a good move in any case. If I were you, I'd get a second opinion.
