How do I find grand mother I've never met?
I'm looking for Odessa Reed, my grandmother. She was 15 when my father was born. She was raised in Yazoo MS, Reed may or may not be her last name now, but her last known address was somewhere in New Orleans, LA. She would be about 87 now, and I pray I find her, set eyes on her before she passes. Anybody know an Odessa fitting some of this description, her granddaughter would like to hug her.

I spent some time searching the internet -- two places seem to tie to your grandmother

Jonesboro,La and Quitman,La -- She could be in a nursing home -- Wish I had more

    Veromi.net | People Summary

Hope this helps -- Good Luck!

Give her a big hug for me!

I am with Biggies, I foiund a lady 86 living in either Jonesboro or quitman.
But they also showed a Robert Reed also living with her at one of those two addresses. The Roberts I found were all shown being born between 1946 and 1950's so often this is the same person, merely slightly off on birth date.
So I looked up the Roberts living in those address, may be the same person who moved from one of those cities to the other, Assuming she lived with him and most things were in his name.
I believe one of these should get you in contact with them ( maybe)

ROBERT T REED Born Feb 1946
    1079 WALKER RD
    JONESBORO, LA

ROBERT T REED Born Feb 1946
    6345 QUITMAN HWY
    QUITMAN, LA 71268

    ROBERT T REED
    808 LOCKHART DR
    QUITMAN, LA 71268 (318) 395-1583

    ROBERT T REED
    808 LOCKHART DR
    QUITMAN, LA 71268 (318) 395-9759

    ROBERT D REED
    998 LOCKHART DR
    QUITMAN, LA 71268

Everything here is public information, nothing is posted that is not publicly available ** if you know where to look

Thanks Fr. Chuck, it seems I've found that information as well. The people in the nursing home I could not find, or was told no such person was there. The search continues.

Depending on your circumstances, hire a Licensed Private Investigator, provide all the info you have and then sit back and wait for the answer.

Investigators have access to sources that the majority of the World cannot tap.

Many (if not most) Investigators will not charge you if they cannot locate the person.

Thank you Judy, I'll look for a PI, I never considered that seriously, but looks like that is what I need to do.

Make sure that you have an understanding of their hourly fee, any additional "search" charges and what happens if they can't find her OR if they come up with a wrong address.

A good Investigator will be cooperative.
