    Hurt bad.
So, basically I like this girl, a lot, she was dating this total douchebag for a while. They broke up maybe around early dec. I asked her out around new years, she said
I don't feel like dating anyone right now, maybe later.

At first I felt good doing something that required confidence.

Then there's my best friend, he always hung out with me, then I don't know, he started sitting with his other friends and we hardly ever talked. Finally around 2-3 weeks ago, I got him to sit with us and hang out etc. and it was great

Then once the girl I like called and wanted to do soemthing with me and my friend. She told me to call him to see if he could go see a movie. So I did and he couldn't go, I called her back and said this, and she said "well it didnt look that good anyway, and im kinda tired so i dont think i want to really do anything."

I told my friend later that I think she likes you, we both joked around and completely denied anything like that.

Then just Friday.. I came to school (yay its Friday! Woo!) mood.
Then my friend comes and says nothing can make this day any worse!
And one of my other friends said
"why because ___ asked you to winter formal?"
At that point.. I think my heart stopped.

The fact that she knew I liked her so much and would do anything for her. And she can't confront me about this, that wouldve made me feel better about it. But I had to hear it from my best friend...

Now sometimes people get asked to dances and it doesn't mean anything its for fun,
I just found out that their dating... and right now its literally ripping me to pieces. I can't sleep, I'm crying, I don't want to talk to my best friend..

I don't think I will be able to see them together without leaving. I've been waiting 7 months to date this girl and the guy that shed met for 2 weeks gets her? I'm in astonishment.

    Someone help.. :/

    Well.

    1. does your friend know you like her? If he DID know you liked her and he went with it... that's kind of a douchebag move on your friend. He should have at least asked.

    2. the girl... apparently she knows you like her, and she dates your friend... what's that say about her character? Not worth it.

They knew how you felt and did this anyway? Neither of the two are worth it. You need to look around and set your sights on someone else. And get a new best friend while you're at it.
