    yield to maturity is the total value or performance of the ( with coupon payments and capital gains or loss).
    in other words the ytm of bond is the discounting rate, which equates the price of the bond with the par value of it's expected fututure cash flows.
    vb=[int(I-i)/1+kd)n/kd] + [(m/(1+kd)n] and
