    I want to break of the Joint lease, Contract is 2 years
    Hi,
    We are in dilemma, My daughter is renting an apartment with a roommate, the contract was for 2 years ending Apr 2009, things did not go well with the roommate and now we want to terminate the contract, we talked to the landlord asking for a room assignment, landlord agreed on the idea but put a condition that the room mate should agree on the new tenant, we a found a couple of interested people in the room, but the roommate was not cooperating and didn't want to see the interested tenetants to approve or disapprove, we lost 2 potential tenants already,
    What do we do, should we just give termination notice to the landlord and the other tenant and leave "that what everybody is suggesting to us"
    Please keep in mind that my daughter has to start looking for another residence

    Please help!

    Is your daughter wanting to stay in the apartment with a new room mate? If so, why not just pay and stay?
