Windows won't start up, blue screen error c0000218
    Hi,

When attempting to start my Compaq laptop I get a black screen saying:

"Windows did not start successfully... etc" I'm given the options to start in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good config and normal mode.

However, if I attempt to start in any of these, it doesn't work and simply seems to go to a blue screen with the code c0000218 (which disappears after a second - back to black screen.

Please could anyone give me some advice on this as I'm lost!
