    Kenmore 110.23032101 spins some times
My kenmore model # 110.23032101 spins sometimes and other times it appears to just lock up. I checked the coupling and looks to be in good condition. If I turn the drum manually in a clock wise direction it appears to get very tight, if I turn it counter clock wise it starts tight then releases to a free non friction type spin. I have the entire shell off washer to just check to see if maybe something got lodged between the drum and the plastic wall but all is clear. Any ideas on what I need to do? Thank you in advance for your help.

If the coupler is good, thry turing the transmission in both directions by hand. It should turn freely in both directions. If it doesn't, it is locked and eill need replacing
