    Basement bath drain line venting
I have read some posts regarding this topic but would like to double check and clear up some assumptions. Sooo many questions

    1. Can I put re-vents in-between fixtures or at the furthest point from the main? I see vent for each fixture as overkill but would like to hear th epro's comment. For example if there is a shower and vanity (no toilet) simply have one re-vent.

    2. The existing house drain system has 2 drain stacks that go from floor and through the roof. Sinks, showers and toilets are tied in directly. The only existing re-vent is off kitchen sink and is the furthest run from where the main sewer line heads for the city connection. Is this house drain system referred to as wet venting?

    3. Does the list apply to wet venting?
Chapter 14, Table 1409.3 of The Standard Plumbing Code, Titled "Distance of Trap to Vent"
Size of Fixture Drain in Inches Distance Trap to Vent

    1 1/4------------------------------------2ft.6 in
    1 1/2------------------------------------3ft.6 in
    2----------------------------------------5ft.0 in
    3----------------------------------------6ft.0 in
    4---------------------------------------10ft.0 in

    4. Can I add stuff in the basement and stay within the list above and not do re-vents. Example – add a toilet 5 ft away from a main stack using 3 in pvc.

    5. Already asked but again, if longer runs than shown in list above, is code just in place for good measure or can I run one shared re-vent at the furthest point from main wet vent stack?

    6. Can someone give a simple example of creating an S trap-, which is something that should never be done.

Thanks for anyone's time in a reply. If near Detroit, I'll buy drinks and dinner. :D
