    I was born at rotunda hospital dublin ireland on the 10th of July 1963
    And was adopted at around 6 weeks from magdalin laundry in the navan road dublin ,where I stayed with my mother until I was adopted. My mother was a book binder in her 20's at the time and her name was mary. My father was an engineer. I was christened lawerence paul by my mother... now my name is martin.

    Martin,
    Maybe call the hospital and see if you can get your birth records in Dublin? Don't mention that its adoption related. Your file could become red-flagged. Also put Irish Adoptees search reunion in your browser. I am sure there will be some search and support group available to you.

    In the UK, ALL of their citizens have access to THEIR records. And from what I gather, their Adult Adoptees are not forced to be lifelong children in accessing their information as in the majority of the US. It is my hope that even though you maybe an American Citizen, you will be treated as fairly as UK citizens in obtaining YOUR records due to your birthplace.
