Our Frigidaire dryer is ruining our clothes!
I have a Frigidaire Gallery dryer model GLER331AS2 that is ruining our clothes! A zipper, snap, or button occasionally find their way through a slot between the drum and the edge of the inside of the dryer, and gets lodged. When we open the door, that article of clothing is totally twisted and we are lucky when we can dislodge it with the zipper/snap/button still intact. Anyone know how to fix this?

There is a wear strip and plactic strip that the front of drum rides on

Need to remove front cover and replace it

New strip needs to be glued back in place needs to set for while to cure

My daughter had this problem on her dryer -- now fixed

Im no fix it person, but make sure (if you haven't already) you remove all the glue from the previous plastic strip. If you do not do this, it will not hold for very long.
I had a repair man fix it once, not a year later (of course warranty was expired) this strip needed to be replaced again.
It is VERY time consuming and a pain in the butt to scrape off the glue, but in the long run, it will be worth it.

Frigidaire dryer ruining clothes [ 1 Answers ]

We have a frigidaire galley dryer that was purchased 4/5 years ago. Clothes are getting stuck in the crack around the door that allows the drum to spin. It leaves marks and/or chews them up. Has anyone experiences anything like this or know how to fix it.
