Green Goo Coming out of facets
Recently, my cold water clogged up in my washing machine. When my husband took the hose off to clean the filter, there was green goo clogging it up. Now, yesterday, my kitchen facet started letting drips of water out. I took the filter off the tip of the facet, and there was green goo clogging it. Now today, it was clogged AGAIN. Again, it was green goo. I left the filter off and ran the cold water. The was was GREEN and there were CLUMPS of the green goo coming out!! We have well water. Can anyone tell me what this is or what I can do about it! It scares me because my children and I DRINK this water!! We've been in this house for a year, and it's just now beginning to do this!
    Any ideas?? Thank You!! :D

    Green goo
    Hi,
I am sure someone will be answering your question, probably better than I can, since I am not a plumber.
But, I personally would not be drinking or bathing with this well water, until you find out what it is. Your well could be possibly be contaminated, and the green could be bacteria growth.
I would call a reputable plumber, or if you have a company in your local area who puts in wells, call them; and also take a jar of your well water to your local Health Department, if you have one, for testing.
I do wish you the best of luck.

    Hi Loreina,

" We have well water. Can anyone tell me what this is or what I can do about it!? "

Looks like you may have a algae growth in your well and pump system. Get it tested at once to see if it's harmful. This could be a job for your local health department. You may need to get a well maqn out there also. In the meantime I would use bottled water to drink and cook with . If left alone this green goo will clog up your pipes and clog up the inlet ports of your faucets. ACT NOW!
Good luck and keep us informed. Tom
